We stayed at Antica Porta for 5 nights from 1 Sept. We were met by Paolo’s father Angelo and he was most welcoming and helpful. He even bought us a drink at a caffe in the Square. The terrace is fantastic for sunbathing and relaxing in at night with a drink The location is superb just off the main square. Air conditioning worked extremely well and was quiet. The apt was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels. It is close to small supermarket and bakery for fresh bread each day. Wifi was available on the terrace but not in the apt however on the day we were leaving it was being installed. There were 3 of us in the apt and our daughter slept in the sofa bed in the living room which was very comfortable. Only 1 bathroom but we managed. Washing machine available and iron and ironing board also. All in all we were very happy with the apt and facilities and would recommend it to anyone. Some excellent restaurants are Mimis Pizzeria, restaurant Da Salvatore on the other side of the tunnel just down the steps and Cumpa Cosimo known locally as Mamas. Would recommend getting the bus into Amalfi for a day and on another day get the bus to Amalfi and then the ferry to Capri. Driving on the roads has to be seen to be believed! They overtake on corners etc! We had a great holiday in Ravello. It is such a beautiful place. Would also recommend visiting Villa Ruffulo and Villa Cimbrone. Both have amazing views of the Amalfi Coast !

Paolo is a great and responsive host and did everything he could to make our arrival and stay as smooth a process as possible. The apartment is clean, has everything you need and is well-located for access to local shops / amenities. The views from the roof terrace are spectacular and we had it to ourselves most of the time. A lovely apartment in my favourite Italian town. Thank you Paolo. Would definitely recommend to other travellers.
